Laura & Lloyd’s Awesome Winter Wedding at Kinmount House

Laura and Lloyd chose the amazing Kinmount House near Annan for their Scottish winter Wedding. The freezing temperatures turned the stunning grounds into an incredible winter wonderland and the Pavilion looked beautiful with green florals and just a hint of Christmas.

We kicked off their evening reception with the First Dance and Laura and Lloyd chose an absolute classic – Lean On Me by Bill Withers. Then it was time for a bit of a curve ball as we invited all their guests to join them on the dance floor for Can’t Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This totally summed up Laura and Lloyd’s taste in music and was the perfect start to the evening.

Laura and Lloyd really wanted the complete Scottish Wedding experience so we suggested throwing in a wee ceilidh dance. Laura was worried their guests wouldn’t know what to do, but that’s no problem for our Ceilidh DJ. We got all their guests onto the floor and talked through the dance to make sure everyone knew what they were doing. The guests loved it!

When we were chatting through their plans, it was clear that Laura and Lloyd really love music. They created a Spotify playlist of all their favourite songs which they then uploaded to their Online Planner so we could put together their request list. There was everything from Stevie Wonder to Tenacious D – such a fantatsic mix to work with.

Sax Power Hour

Laura and Lloyd arranged a bit of a surprise for their guests – a sax power hour! The fantastic Dave T ramped things up with an awesome mix of party classics and 90s dance. A sax power hour always goes down well!

After a quick pizza break (the pizza is so good at Kinmount!), it was back on the dance floor for the last hour of partying. We had loads of requests for for old school 90s pop and hip-hop, as well as lots of rock and indie. But it’s true what they say, all good things must come to an end. For their last song, Laura and Lloyd chose Angels by Robbie Williams. The perfect end to the perfect day. We couldn’t stop there though, guests wanted one more tune – so we partied on!

Ross was both the piper and DJ for our wedding at Hetland Hall recently. Not only is he a thoroughly lovely guy, he’s also very professional and provided a brilliant service to us on the day with both his piping and his DJing. On the lead up to the wedding we had the option for us and our guests to make advance requests for the night with the online client portal, a great feature included in the service. On the night, he had everyone up dancing with a mix of old and new tracks. We even had a bit of a modern ceilidh set and danced the Gay Gordon’s to Gangnam style!! Ross was absolutely fantastic as the DJ for our Wedding. We loved the online system that allowed us to add in song requests and Ross managed to please everyone on the dancefloor! It's an extra bonus that he even manages to capture some sneaky dance moves when no one notices. Would highly recommend for an event.
