Taylor & Rachael’s Incredible Wedding in Dumfries

We had such an amazing day at Hetland Hall Hotel near Dumfries for Taylor and Rachael’s Wedding.

Taylor and Rachael first got in touch over two years ago to discuss their special day originally planned for July 2021. As we approached the original date, things were still looking a little uncertain in the world so they decided to postpone to April 2022… and it was definitely worth the wait!

We kicked the night off by welcoming in the newlyweds to On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons and went straight into their First Dance. Taylor and Rachael chose Falling Like the Stars by James Arthur for their First Dance. With the lyrics, “And I need you to know that we’re fallin’ so fast, we’re fallin’ like the stars, fallin’ in love” it was such a beautiful start to the evening.

The special moments continued as we moved into the Father Daughter Dance. Rachael and her Dad chose I Won’t Let You Go by James Morrison. It was then time to open up the dance floor with a dedication to Rachael’s Bridesmaids – World of Our Own by Westlife. This got everyone going and really set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Taylor and Rachael requested a few songs in advance using our Online Planner, but generally they were quite happy to leave the music to us. They just wanted a good party with everyone dancing! Their guests loved a good mix of 60s, 70s and 80s and lots of singalong classics.

Massive congratulations to Taylor and Rachael and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day! Shout out to Vikki and the fantastic team at Hetland for all your help!

Hi Ross, You were amazing. We couldn't have had a better piper/DJ! We had so many compliments about you from our guests and the ceilidh was fantastic!
