Abby & Nathan’s Amazing Wedding at Dalswinton Estate
We had such an awesome time at Dalswinton Estate near Dumfries for Abby and Nathan’s Wedding.
Our day started at the beautiful little red church on the Dalswinton Estate where we provided music for the Ceremony. Abby walked down the aisle with her father to Tom Odell’s If You Wanna Love Somebody and then it was over to Celebrant Tony Goodall to lead the Ceremony. It was such a lovely Ceremony – so laidback and funny! For signing the marriage schedule, Abby and Nathan chose How Beautiful Life Can Be by The Lathums and Somebody Loves You by The Snuts – two fantastic songs for such a happy moment.
After the Ceremony, we headed down to the marquee where the Prosecco was flowing and guests were enjoying some live music from Ben and Thomas from The Lutras. The weather was incredible and the Dalswinton gardens were looking stunning. After the meal, guests were treated to another musical surprise… this time from Singer Servers. What a way to start a party!
With evening guests arriving, it was time to kick off the evening reception with the Cake Cutting and First Dance. For their First Dance, Abby and Nathan chose Impossible by Nothing But Thieves.

Abby and her Dad then shared a Father Daughter Dance to Michael Bolton’s Fathers & Daughters before inviting all of their guests onto the dance floor for Shotgun by George Ezra.
From the moment we started discussing their plans, it was clear that Abby and Nathan both loved their music. They were really keen for the music on their Wedding day to reflect them as a couple and so they spent a lot of time thinking about exactly what they wanted. When it came to the big day, the music was perfect – so many guests commented on how it was totally Abby and Nathan!
They made excellent use of our Online Planner and requested lots of songs in advance of the big day. They also gave their guests access to our Guest Request System so everybody was able to request all their favourite songs, meaning we knew exactly what they wanted to hear. This made for an awesome night with a great mix of indie, party classics and even a wee bit of ceilidh! Abby and Nathan love the Courteeners so the song of the night was definitely Not Nineteen Forever.
All good things must come to the end and we finished on a high with some singalong classics like Dignity and Country Roads. But the last song had to be everybody’s favourite, Loch Lomond. The perfect end to the perfect day.
Massive congratulations to Abby and Nathan and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day! Shout out to Natasha and the fantastic team at Dalswinton for all your help!
